Tool
Dive-site finder
Pick a target month and a target species , manta, whale shark, hammerhead, white-tip reef, leopard shark , and the finder returns the atoll-resort short list, with the expected visibility band, the water temperature, and the operator notes for the atoll's lead dive centre. The data is the project's own dive-visibility log, aggregated monthly from MMRP bulletins, operator dive logs, and editorial-verified reader reports.
What this tool answers
- If I am diving in September and want mantas, where do I go?
- How do the Baa visibility numbers in October compare with Alif Dhaal in April?
- Which resorts inside a target atoll have an on-site Reef Check operator vs an outsourced dive centre?
- What is the realistic chance window for a whale-shark encounter in March on the south side of South Ari?
How the data is sourced
The dive-visibility log is aggregated monthly from MMRP bulletins, operator dive logs, and editorial-verified reader reports. Each entry carries a last-verified date so seasonal calls stay current.
Dive-led atoll guides (Baa, Alif Dhaal, Laamu) already carry the seasonal breakdowns in prose form. Atoll atlas →
