Food & drink

Five restaurants are included on the INDULGENCE plan, rather than charged as extras. M6m (Minus Six Meters), the underwater restaurant six metres below the lagoon, does a seafood degustation and is the headline meal here; The Palms is the main all-day pavilion, with a rotating buffet plus theme-night à-la-carte; Tradition Indoceylon does Indian and Sri Lankan; Tradition Peking does Chinese; and Lonu reworks Maldivian dishes as small plates. The plan also covers the bars (the Joie de Vivre central bar, the Hudhu Bay beach club, and the adults-only Gin Is In).

The drinks run deep for an all-inclusive: champagne is included on the standard INDULGENCE plan, the cocktail list is properly worked, and the cellar leans European and old-world.

Honest read on the food: five restaurants at a consistent premium-luxury standard, and the fact that the underwater M6m seat is included rather than a paid upgrade genuinely changes the maths against the area's other premium all-inclusives, where an underwater meal is usually extra. Diving and the house reef

The on-property dive operation runs at the premium level, and the southern South Malé position puts OZEN within boat range of the area's dive sites (Kandooma Thila, Vaagali Beyru, Embudhoo Express, and the Kuda Giri wreck). The INDULGENCE plan includes diving, which is unusual at this tier.

Certification courses run from Open Water through Divemaster; at this small scale the diving is small-group and bespoke rather than a specialist operation.

Honest caveat: for a specialist dive operation, Bandos has the hyperbaric chamber and a PADI 5-star centre; OZEN's strength is having diving built into the plan, not dive-specialist depth.

Spa and wellness

The ELE | NA Spa runs at the Atmosphere premium-luxury level, with massages, facials, body scrubs, and Atmosphere's signature treatments. The INDULGENCE plan includes spa credits, which is rare.

At 90 villas with an adults-leaning crowd, spa appointments are genuinely easy to get; book treatments when you confirm.

Honest caveat: if wellness is the whole point of the trip, the area's dedicated wellness islands are well ahead.

Activities and the on-island programme

Watersports are covered by the INDULGENCE plan: stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing, guided snorkel trips, and the included two-dives-a-day programme. The plan's point is that there is little left to pay for once you arrive.

The adults-leaning feel keeps the calendar couples-focused, and the Atmosphere group's North Malé sisters make a cross-area split-stay easy to arrange.

Getting there

The standard route from Velana International is about a 45-minute speedboat straight to the Maadhoo jetty.
